The Brine Tank Stops Being Somebody's Afterthought

Commercial Water Softener Salt Delivery

A commercial softener is only as good as the salt in the brine tank and the person keeping it full. When that job falls to whoever is free that afternoon, brine tanks run low, systems regenerate short, and the building goes hard without anyone noticing until the dish machine starts spotting.

Delivery

Three Ways to Get Your Salt

Gordon Water Systems delivers water softener salt to commercial and industrial facilities across West Michigan on a schedule you set: restaurants, hotels, food plants, condo associations, country clubs, schools, and manufacturing facilities.

Direct to tank

Our driver comes in, checks the brine tank, and fills it. Nobody on your staff lifts a bag, cuts a bag open, or hauls anything down a stairwell. This is what most facilities switch to once they have tried it.

Most popular

Pallet to your dock

Full pallets of 49 or 63 bags, 40 pounds each, delivered to your loading dock or storage area. Half pallets available. The right call when you have the space, a forklift, and staff who would rather manage it internally.

The Salt

What We Deliver

We deliver DuraCube®, a high-purity salt in a compressed cube form.

We do not stock a low-grade rock salt option for commercial systems. Cheap salt costs more in brine tank cleanouts and valve service than it saves on the invoice.

Why Cube Salt Pays Off

Four things that show up in service calls, not on the invoice.

Solves: CleanoutsLow Insolubles

Less residue accumulating in the bottom of the brine tank, which means fewer cleanouts and fewer plugged brine lines.

Solves: Brine strengthConsistent Dissolution

The cube form dissolves at a predictable rate, so brine strength stays where the system expects it.

Solves: ComplianceFood Grade

Approved for use in commercial kitchens and food service facilities.

Solves: Silent failureLess Bridging

Salt bridging, where a crust forms above an empty cavity and the system stops making brine without warning, is far less common with cube salt than with pellets or crystals.

Why a Route

Why Facilities Put Salt on a Route

Maintenance staff have a list. Salt falls off it, and the failure is invisible until equipment downstream starts showing symptoms.

Step 1

No lifting.

Forty-pound bags, repeatedly, down a basement stairwell is a workers comp claim looking for a place to happen.

Nobody carries a bag
Step 2

Predictable cost.

Delivery is scheduled and billed on a known interval instead of a scramble when someone notices the tank is empty.

Known interval
Step 3

We look at the equipment while we are there.

Our drivers check brine levels and flag obvious issues. A softener that has stopped drawing brine gets caught on a delivery visit instead of six months later.

Caught on the visit

Ongoing Care

Salt Delivery and Service Together

Most commercial accounts pair salt delivery with scheduled service on a set interval. If Gordon installed the system we already have the specifications on file. If somebody else installed it, we will service it anyway: Kinetico, Hellenbrand, AquaMagic, Clack, Fleck, and Canature equipment.

Salt and service on one schedule, one invoice.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you fill the brine tank, or just drop off bags?
Either. Direct to tank means our driver checks the brine tank and fills it, and nobody on your staff handles a bag. Pallet delivery drops full or half pallets at your dock. You can also pick up at any of our four offices.
What kind of salt do you deliver?
DuraCube, a high-purity salt in compressed cube form. Low insolubles mean less residue in the brine tank and fewer cleanouts, the cube form dissolves at a predictable rate, and it is food grade and approved for commercial kitchens.
How big is a pallet?
Pallets come as 49 or 63 bags at 40 pounds each. Half pallets are available for facilities with less storage space.
How often should salt be delivered?
It depends on your water hardness and daily volume. Once we have both we can calculate consumption and set an interval that keeps the tank full without overstocking. Most commercial accounts settle into a fixed route after the first couple of deliveries.
Why not just buy salt from a big box store?
You can, and for a small system it may be fine. At commercial volumes the difference shows up in labor spent hauling bags, in brine tank cleanouts from higher insoluble content, and in the service calls that follow a bridged or plugged brine line.
Do you deliver salt to systems you did not install?
Yes. We deliver to any commercial facility in our service area regardless of who installed the equipment, and our technicians service Kinetico, Hellenbrand, AquaMagic, Clack, Fleck, and Canniture systems.
What is salt bridging?
It is when a hard crust forms across the top of the salt with an empty cavity underneath. The tank looks full, but the salt is not in contact with the water, so the system stops making brine and the building goes hard. Cube salt bridges far less than pellets or crystals.
