Your utility or a private test has flagged PFAS in your water
Kinetico offers two reverse osmosis systems designed for different drinking water needs. The K5 combines exceptional flow rates, customizable filtration, and certification for a wider range of contaminants. The AquaKinetic A200 offers a simple, dependable approach to better drinking water.
The Signs
Both the A200 and K5 reduce contaminants for drinking water you can feel more confident about. The K5 offers exceptional flow rates and customizable filtration for a wider range of water concerns, including:
Your utility or a private test has flagged PFAS in your water
You're on a private well near a known contamination site
Your water carries VOCs, chloramine, or perchlorate
You've tested positive for arsenic III, which the base system doesn't cover
Need to fill a big pot? The K5 keeps a strong, steady flow for up to three gallons, so you’re not stuck waiting the way you are with most RO systems.
Enjoy one of the industry’s best membrane warranties: 10 years of coverage when installed with a Kinetico water softener.*
The AquaKinetic A200 is a great choice for better tasting city water and dependable everyday filtration. During your water test, we’ll help you choose the system that fits your water needs and your household.
The Fix
Both Kinetico systems run non-electrically. There's no timer, no computer, and nothing to plug in. Water pressure powers the system. There's no timer or computer to fail, and nothing to reset after a power outage.
Both use quick-disconnect cartridges, so filter changes are a twist rather than a plumbing job. Both feed a 3-gallon storage tank under the sink and a dedicated tap. They differ on certification, daily output, and whether you can add to them later.
The Systems
The differences that matter, from Kinetico's published data sheets.
Kinetico
Certified to: NSF/ANSI 42, 53, and 58 by WQA, plus 372 for lead-free materials. Standard 58 adds cysts, dissolved solids, nitrate and nitrite, and a long list of organic compounds.
Daily output: about 20 gallons on the standard tank, about 40 on the QuickFlo tank.
Upgrade slots: two, for VOC Guard, Chloramine Guard, Arsenic Guard, Perchlorate Guard, Purefecta Guard, or a remineralizing cartridge.
Warranty: 10 years on parts, and 10 years on the membrane when it follows a Kinetico softener.

Kinetico

Warranty: 7 years on parts, and 2 years on the membrane when it follows a Kinetico softener.
Explore the AquaKinetic →The K5 makes two to four times more water a day, carries a health-effects certification the A200 doesn't, can be configured for a contaminant you've tested for, and carries five times the membrane warranty. The A200 costs less and does the core job well on city water. If you don't have a known contaminant problem, that may be all you need.
